"Riley, Riley no."

My voice was hoarse, a dark tone. I listened to the tape intently, wishing that I could be saying something else -- That I had proof my returning nightmare wasn't happening anymore -- Some type of proof to show everyone I'm not crazy.
I'm not crazy. I just miss Riley.
Riley was my best friend -- My other half -- We had been friends since kindergarten, and we were closer than anyone -- or anything -- could be. I missed him. Even now, nearly two and a half years after he had disappeared, I still was traumatized.

Forget the self-doubt. Forget the misery. Forget the constant battle between my dreams and my waking life.
I was tired of fighting against something that wasn't even real. How could someone fight against their subconscious?
My total journey seemed to be comming to the head. I was standing a few feet away from a hostile creature, but for some reason I wasn't scared. My nightmares... My dreams -- I was always being chased by this creature -- I had not known this until now, but now I did.
It was absurd for me to be unafraid.

The First Note -- AliveAlive.
It's a word that brings more than one thing to mind, isn't it?
I'd never thought I'd really start like this, so forgive me. I don't know if I ever was supposed to start this.
There are many, many things that have happened in my near fifteen years of life. There have been times of good and bad; times were I did not feel alive at all. Times were it felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest.
I'm not going to lie; I probably had it comming. That is why I'm here. I'm still trying to figure out how to live with myself after all that has happened, and I need to tell the story of my The First Note -- Alive

I had never really given much thought to as I was supposed to die -- Or at least leave the world of the living. I never really understood how far this company could go, or how much they would destroy to get to me. I knew I was too late -- That was why I am here. I should have left, but of course, I didn't. I was too selfish to do such a act.

Why, Hello . . .

You've reached my Deviantart page, and usually there would be a pretty little picture here.

Well, I don't have a pretty little picture.

Some think that true art is visual. Some think that paintings and sketches are the true expression of a person's soul. I think words are a lot better in expressing all that you hold dear . . . and all that you loath.

Words have the power to be brutally honest; or tell a great lie.

They can break your heart, move your being, and teach you more things than a pretty little picture with a name on it ever can.

That is what I believe.

So, don't expect to find any cutting visual advances here.

I believe that true art is not to weave thread through fabric;
Or spread paint across a canvas,
but to weave words upon paper;
and spread emotion through expression.

Hey there. Your story caught my attention, I really liked it so decided to have a look at your page and was very impressed with your photo's, theyre brilliant and decidedly emotional. Anyway, keep up the good work. Bye for now.
